PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP: Latinas Negotiating Leadership Success
When Latinas negotiate, to what degree should they disclose what they hope to receive from the negotiation and how should they go about revealing their desires? The answer to a great extent depends on the type of person they are negotiating with and the perception they wish the other to perceive of her. In order for Latinas to position themselves properly in any negotiation, they must learn to identify and adapt to their counterpart’s negotiation style. Attend this session to improve your negotiation skills:

Learner Outcomes - Through this learning session, Latinas will be able to:
1. Identify their own negotiation style
2. Identify other peoples’ negotiation styles
3. Position themselves for a win-win outcome

A development session for HR professionals, leadership development officers, as well as corporate and outside recruiters looking to benchmark best practices.

The Diversity Policy Disclosure of 2009 was established so that instead of just talking about diversity and how it is implemented, companies must now give investors facts that show the results of their efforts. As companies increase these efforts to recruit, develop and retain high-potential Latino professionals, it’s crucial they benchmark against organizations doing it well. Find out what the crucial do’s and don’ts are when working with outside recruiters and staffing agencies to scout for Latino talent, achieve multicultural branding, and further diversity recruitment.
